What is Impact Weekend?

Impact weekend is a 60-hours social entrepreneurial workshop in Madrid. It brings together students and professionals across Spain to share ideas and develop socially responsible business plans.

The weekend begins with an open pitching session where ideas for businesses are proposed and the best 5 ideas will be selected. A team of 4-5 participants will then be formed around each idea. On Saturday and Sunday the teams will work together to develop their business plan before they are evaluated during a final pitch on Sunday night. The aim is for teams to use innovative and practical methodologies to create a venture that is scalable and can address real-world issues. Teams will receive valuable mentoring social entrepreneurs throughout the weekend. On Sunday evening, each team will pitch to investors from traditional and socially orientated venture capital firms.

The winning team will be awarded mentorship and coaching sessions from top social entrepreneurs and will have the option for direct entry into venture lab.

When: 24-27th April 2014
